Each player is rated on era-adjusted offense, defense, and goaltending from their real peak season with that team. Your weakest category caps your ceiling, and a non-linear curve maps roster strength to a projected win–loss record. A flawless 82-0 is rare and takes both skill and a favourable day.
Player names and statistics are derived from publicly available sources (the NHL's public stats data), scaled to 82 games and era-adjusted. No team logos or marks are used.
